What better opportunity do we have than to learn from the life experiences of others!
Several times in a year, we get opportunity to attend alumni interaction sessions in which our seniors who have passed out come down to school and share their experiences. They know better as they have also been in our place (as a student at our school). Allthese sessions bring ample of learning lessons with them. This year also, students of 11th and 12th Commerce got a chance to listen to Nikhilbhai Chaudhary of AVM Class of 2013.
Nikhilbhai had joined AVM in Standard 11 in the Commerce stream. He was not very academically driven at that time nor was he clear about his career goals. Initially during his time here, he found it challenging to get accustomed to the AVM environment. But his life took a dramatic turn during his final year at AVM. Friendship with teachers and his accepting nature brought about a huge change in his attitude towards life and also helped him discover his career goals. The seeds of hard work and sincere prayers sown at AVM germinated and yielded him good results in his 12th boards. He scored 92% proving that “Yuvan dhare te kari shake”.
After 12th, he chose to pursue the BA.LLB (Hons) programme at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), one of the best law colleges in India. The values and abilities that he had imbibed at AVM helped him stand out among his peers at JGLS.
As a part of the five-year integrated course of law, he had to undertake several internships. His first internship was at the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Surat. His enthusiasm helped him convince the judge of his worthiness and ensured a job under him.
He took his internships very seriously and worked very hard in order to get internships among the smartest and the wisest individuals in the field of law. As a result, during his time at Jindal, he bagged various excellent learning opportunities at national and at international level. For instance, he got to observe the situation in Kashmir very closely, worked for a reputed international law firm in London, got the opportunity to witness the “Kulbhushan Jadhav Case”, so on and so forth. With the blessings of GuruHari Swamishree, currently he is working as a Political Strategist & Election Campaign Manager for IPAC.
This session greatly motivated us all and helped us set high targets and to believe that achieving them is possible. It brought to light the difficulties that one may encounter during college life after leaving AVM. His advice of making the best use of our time at AVM, learn maximum and to carry it forward got fixed in our brains. In this way, this wonderful and informative session ended, leaving an insightful impact on everyone.
