Alumni Interaction – Laser Plasma Accelerators & Cancer Treatment – Abhishekbhai Panchal

Abhishekbhai Panchal (AVM Class of 2014) delivered an interactive session at AVM on 5^th January 2024 with the students of grades 11 and 12 Science.

After graduating from AVM, he completed the 5 years MSc Physics program from the highly reputed and competitive Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (CEBS), Mumbai.

Currently, he is a 2^nd year PhD student at Université Paris-Saclay, France where he is a member of the High Intensity Physics (PHI) group working on the “development and applications of a laser driven particle source” that could potentially be used in Radiotherapy to treat cancer patients.
