A new year means a new start, a new beginning, and a new adventure that awaits us. The reopening of the school after the summer break was no less than a festival. Moreover, this year our school is also celebrating 20 years of its divinity, atmiyata, and the grace of Guruhari Hariprasadswamiji and Pragat Guruhari Prabodhswamiji. The campus itself is a manifestation of Guruhari’s vision, dedication, devotion, and selfless love. He has bestowed upon us teachers and mentors who are always ready to help the students and guide them constantly on the righteous path to success. Apart from them, we have also been blessed with spiritual values and ethics, which are expressed in the form of morning assemblies, creative assemblies, festival celebrations, and many more events.

This academic year began with one such announcement of the student council election campaign. This announcement evoked a sense of enthusiasm in all the students and their peers who wanted to be a part of it. That week, all of them approached their house conveners to get selected as candidates. The most difficult task was for the house conveners to select a couple of nominees out of many. However, after some hard work and analysis, all the candidates were selected to commence the election campaign.

The next few days were followed by the preparation of campaign speeches. All the candidates prepared their speeches under the guidance and mentorship of house conveners, teachers, and their seniors. The following week, the prayer hall echoed with all the candidates’ speeches. The core values and takeaways of every speech saw eye to eye, and the confidence, aim, and dedication in every candidate’s speech bemused the students and even the teachers while deciding whom to vote for.

As soon as the campaign speeches were over, the auditorium was arranged with booths for voting. There was even a designated spot where teachers helped all voters by applying election ink post voting. That day, all the votes were cast, and everybody was eagerly waiting for the next day for the election results to be declared.

The next morning, all the student council members were announced. Everybody congratulated all the newly elected members, as well as the other nominees, as a sign of Atmiyata. The elected members were as follows:

Head Boy Vice Head Boy Sports Captain
Aatmanbhai Patel Jaybhai Bhakta Kushbhai Patel

Satyam House Kishanbhai Patel Devbhai Patel
Shivam House Aadibhai Patel Aksharbhai Kathiriya
Sundaram House Arthbhai Rampariya Tejbhai Patel

The AVM Student Council infuses a sense of Seva, Nimit Bhav, and Atmiyata among the members. As the academic year has started, all the members are eagerly waiting to perform their duty to do seva and contribute something to their house and to the school. This marks the end of the Student Council Election Campaign 2024-25 and the start of a new term for the AVM Student Council.
